Gratitude

It always amazes me that life naturally
gives you a boost when you least expect it.
On Tuesday morning @ 0400, I
REALLY did not want to drive
to my parents but by the time I reached
Lethbridge, the sky was opening up into the
most beautiful sunrise. When I turned down the road
the leads to the farm, I actually had to stop.
I felt so grateful to have the sight that some
aren't so fortunate to have in order
to witness such a wonderful morning.

Book 1- The Dovekeepers

I'm being challenged to write what I thought about
this novel. While I enjoyed the read, I think all
the chatter about how amazing this
book was, left me disappointed-
which is AWFUL!
I hate when the book itself wasn't the
let down, it was the anticipation that ended up
getting me. I have to say, this book didn't
"grab" me right from the get go. It wasn't a story
I just couldn't put down. It certainly didn't captivate me.
BUT, as I'm thinking about a review, I'm thinking
of all the parts I loved and how brilliant the
writing was. Each lady had their own story and each
perspective was written just a tad differently which
made the storytelling even that much better.
I loved all of the women and the stories they told.
I just wanted MORE of each of them. Each of
women brought a different dynamic to the story,
and as I'm trying right now to think of who I liked the
best, I actually can't name one.
Anyways, I can't say it was my favorite book I've
read recently but it
certainly wasn't bad!

Keep On

Sometimes I don't know if I even want
to keep this blog going. It actually isn't that
much work, but to be honest... I don't have many
exciting things to chit chat about.
Maybe the blog isn't the issue!!!
I need some hobbies.
I am really looking forward to being in
our new house come March/April.
Then I will have lots of things to share!- well
decorating wise anyways!
In the meantime, prepare for rambling because
I'm going  to keep on, keeping on this blog thing.

Christmas 2014

I was working the Night shift straight though
Christmas this year which if I had to work, nights
are the best shift over the holidays.
I got off around 0630 and headed home.
The roads were empty and the drive was easy peasy.
When I got home, Rhys was already up and at it
{of course} and shortly after Earl was up as well. We
has some chit chat and around 0900 Edie was up and
we were onto gift opening. For the 4 of us, we sure
had a ton of gifts under the tree- although
the Williams will tell you this was a small Christmas.
HAHAHAHA!
We were all spoiled and I had with the little sleep and plenty
of Bailey's, I probably wouldn't have minded had
I gotten nothing. After gifts it was onto Mimosas, which
are def going to be a Christmas morning tradition from
now on and waffles. YUM!
Then it was off to bed for me and Rhys and his folks
played with their new toys while I got some ZZZ's.

This Guy

I've officially decided that I miss my Eddie.
He's so sweet and cute... To me anyways, to
everyone else, he's an asshole. But I love him
anyways and miss him dearly.
As much as I'm looking forward to Mexico next
week, I'm even more excited to get back
to the farm and see my munchkins.
